Areas we cover
We collect pianos from across Liverpool and the wider L postcode area, hold them in a steady climate-controlled facility, and return them whenever you are ready.
Book storageA musical city
Liverpool's relationship with music runs deep and shows up in the number of instruments the city holds. Families in Wavertree, Mossley Hill, Aigburth and Crosby have uprights that have been in the front room for a generation. LIPA students finishing their courses need to clear flats and cannot yet commit to a fixed address. Families whose children have grown and moved away are renovating and discovering the piano no longer fits the new layout. Executors settling an estate need a safe place for an instrument while probate works through.
Whatever has brought the piano to a crossroads, the requirement is the same: a specialist crew who can collect it without drama, and a facility that will keep it in proper condition until it is needed again. Our specialist piano crews know Merseyside well and collect from Victorian terraces, converted flats, new-builds and performance venues across the area.

Collection day
Liverpool and the surrounding L postcode area is on our Tuesday route. The L postcodes cover a lot of ground: Liverpool city centre, Bootle, Crosby and Waterloo in the north, Wavertree, Kensington and Toxteth close in, Aigburth, Allerton, Mossley Hill, Childwall and Woolton in the south, and the wider Merseyside area out toward Huyton, Kirkby, Prescot and Ormskirk. If your postcode starts with L, we collect from you.
We confirm a three-hour target window the day before, so you can plan your morning without being tied to an uncertain arrival. Any stair access at your address, whether a first-floor flat, a period terrace with three flights or a building with no lift, is priced clearly in the online booking before you confirm. There are no surprises on the day.
Why climate control matters here
Liverpool sits close to the Irish Sea and the Mersey estuary, and the city carries a good deal of ambient moisture for much of the year. The Victorian terraces that make up large parts of the housing stock in Toxteth, Kensington, Everton and the older suburbs often have solid walls and single-glazed bay windows that allow damp to build up quietly over a winter. A piano exposed to sustained high humidity will suffer. Soundboards crack, glue joints soften, hammers swell and stick, and tuning shifts in ways that become expensive to correct.
Our facility holds steady temperature and humidity throughout the year, at the conditions instruments need to stay stable. A piano in storage with us for six weeks or twelve months returns in the same condition it arrived. Full insurance runs from the moment our crew collects it, and the facility is monitored around the clock.
Students, musicians and schools
The University of Liverpool, Liverpool John Moores University and LIPA together bring tens of thousands of students into the city each year. When a music course ends, when a student moves back home between years, or when a graduate takes a job elsewhere, the piano in the flat becomes a problem. Many families brought the instrument to support a son or daughter through their studies. The service carries it safely until there is room for it again.
Professional musicians and those working in Liverpool's performance sector also use us between engagements. The Royal Liverpool Philharmonic and the city's wider music community generate a steady need for secure, properly conditioned storage for instruments between seasons. Schools and music services across Merseyside use the service when an instrument needs to be held during a building project or a change of site.

Any stair access is priced in the online booking, so you see the full cost before confirming.
