Areas we cover
We collect pianos from across Lincoln city and the LN postcode area, store them in steady climate-controlled conditions, and return them to you whenever you are ready.
Book storageA cathedral city and a wide county
Lincoln is two cities stacked on top of each other. The uphill quarter around the Cathedral and Castle is medieval and Georgian, full of old stone buildings, steep cobbled streets like Steep Hill, and properties with access that takes real care. The lower city around Brayford Pool and the railway is Victorian and Edwardian, home to the University of Lincoln and the terraces of Monks Road, Sincil Bank and St Giles. Beyond both, the county stretches flat and wide to Louth, Horncastle, Woodhall Spa and the Lincolnshire Wolds.
The situations that bring a piano into storage are just as varied. A family in Nettleham or Skellingthorpe downsizing once the children have left. An executor dealing with a farmhouse estate in the Wolds and no space to take the instrument. A student at the University of Lincoln reaching the end of their course. A music teacher between two studios. Whatever the reason, if you are in the LN postcode area we collect from you every Thursday.

Collection day
We run a regular weekly route through LN postcodes every Thursday, covering Lincoln and the surrounding county. The LN area covers a good stretch of Lincolnshire: Lincoln city centre and its suburbs including North Hykeham, Bracebridge Heath and Welton, plus the market towns of Louth, Horncastle, Market Rasen, Woodhall Spa, Mablethorpe and Alford. If you have an LN postcode, we come to you.
We confirm a three-hour target window the day before so you do not need to clear your whole schedule. If the piano sits on a floor above ground level, whether that is a Victorian terrace in Monks Road or an uphill house in the Bailgate, stair access is priced clearly in the online booking before you confirm anything. No surprises on the day.
Why climate control matters here
Lincolnshire sits open to the North Sea and its winters carry real cold and damp. The county's older properties, including the stone houses around the Cathedral quarter and the brick Edwardian terraces of the lower city, hold moisture differently from modern construction. A piano left in a cold room, a stone outbuilding or a standard self-storage unit absorbs that damp over weeks and months. Soundboards swell and can crack, tuning pins loosen, strings begin to rust and keys stick. The damage builds quietly.
Our facility holds temperature and humidity at consistent levels year-round, whether the piano is with us for six weeks during a house move or for two years while a probate estate is resolved. Full insurance runs from the moment our crew collects the instrument to the moment it comes back to you. Monitored security is in place throughout.
Students, musicians and schools
The University of Lincoln on the Brayford Waterfront is a growing campus with a music and performing arts programme, and students who own a piano face a familiar problem when a course ends or they move between term-time addresses. Parents who brought an instrument to support their studies and students with their own upright both use our service for a single term or a gap between courses. There is no minimum storage period.
Music teachers working across Lincolnshire's schools and colleges, and musicians who perform but do not have space for a permanent studio, use us between engagements. Schools in Lincoln and market towns such as Louth and Horncastle also place instruments with us during building works or when rooms are repurposed. We collect from all of them on Thursdays.
