Areas we cover
We collect pianos from N16, E8 and the surrounding streets on Wednesdays, store them in climate-controlled conditions, and return them whenever you are ready.
Book storageN16, E8 and the streets in between
The two postcodes share a particular character. Victorian terraces line the streets around Clissold Park and Church Street in N16, and the same red-brick rows continue into Hackney through Dalston, London Fields and the roads behind Broadway Market. A lot of households here have a piano. Some were bought deliberately; others arrived from a parent's house or a cleared estate and never quite left.
The mix of renters, creative households and young families means pianos move more often here than in quieter suburbs. A lease ends, a first home is bought, a home studio is reconfigured, a new baby takes the spare room. We collect from all of these. The piano is wrapped where it stands, carried down carefully, and held in our Oxfordshire climate-controlled facility until you are ready for it back.
Victorian stairs and narrow halls
Most streets in Stoke Newington and Hackney were built in the 1880s and 1890s, and the staircases show it. A half-landing, a tight turn at the top, a front door that opens directly into the stairwell. Getting a piano out of a first-floor room is the job most owners dread, and it is what our crews do every week across the capital.
The instrument is assessed on the day. If it can come down the stair, it comes down the stair. If the upper sash needs to come out for a grand, we have done it before. Stair access is priced openly in the online booking so the number is settled before any work begins.
Wednesday collections
Our crew is in the N and E postcode areas every Wednesday. Holding one day per area keeps the service reliable and the price fair. The day before your collection, we confirm a three-hour target window so you are not tied to the house all day.
If a Wednesday genuinely will not work, an off-day collection can be arranged for an added charge. Re-delivery works the same way: one message to book a Wednesday slot and the piano comes back to wherever you need it in Stoke Newington, Hackney or anywhere else in London.
Climate control and why it matters here
The same solid-wall construction that makes these houses character-full also makes them damp when they are empty. A rented flat with the heating off between tenancies, a house going through a full rewire, a home that is being let out while the owner is away: the humidity swings in an unoccupied Victorian terrace can crack a soundboard and seize the action in a single winter.
Our facility holds steady temperature and humidity throughout the year. Full insurance runs from collection to return, and the store is monitored around the clock.
Pricing for North and East London
Prices include collection, climate-controlled storage and full insurance. Stairs without a lift and off-day collections are priced transparently in the booking. Re-delivery is quoted when you are ready for the piano back.
