Coventry is a city with a strong musical identity and a wide spread of property types. Victorian terraces in Earlsdon and Chapelfields sit alongside postwar semis, 1970s estates and newer builds out toward Binley and Willenhall. Students at the University of Warwick and Coventry University frequently need somewhere for a piano between terms or when leaving halls for a shared house. Families staging a property for sale, musicians going away for extended work, and executors clearing a relative's home all come to us too.
Access across the city can be tricky. Older terraces in Earlsdon and the inner suburbs have narrow hallways and tight stairwells that call for care. Our specialist piano crews assess every access point before lifting the instrument, wrap it correctly, and take it out without damage to the piano or the building. We have done it in hundreds of different properties and we know what to expect.

Collection day
We run our Coventry and CV-area collections on Mondays. A fixed weekly day keeps the route consistent and the pricing straightforward. We confirm a three-hour target window the day before, so your morning is not lost to an open-ended wait. If a Monday genuinely cannot work for you, an off-day collection is available for an added charge.
If your piano is up a steep staircase or in a room with restricted access, that is priced clearly in the online booking before you confirm anything. No surprises on the day.
Why climate control matters
A lot of Coventry was rebuilt in the 1950s and 1960s, and that housing stock can feel warm enough to live in while still being poor for an instrument. Cold winters push the relative humidity around, and in an unheated spare room or a house left empty during probate, a piano will drift out of tune and may suffer worse if the conditions persist across a season or two. Soundboards move, strings and tuning pins shift, and an action that played well in the autumn can feel heavy or sticky by spring.
Our storage facility holds steady temperature and relative humidity throughout the year. Your instrument is fully insured from the moment our crew lifts it, the facility is monitored around the clock, and there is no public access. Whether you need us for six weeks between house moves or eighteen months while you work away, the conditions stay the same.
We are part of the Pianospeed Group, which means piano moving and specialist collection sit alongside the storage itself. There is no handoff to a third party.
Area coverage
The CV postcode area is one of the largest in the Midlands. As well as Coventry city itself, we collect from Kenilworth, Leamington Spa, Warwick, Rugby, Nuneaton, Bedworth and Stratford-upon-Avon, and from the towns and villages throughout Warwickshire that carry a CV postcode. If you are not certain whether your address falls on the Monday route, the booking form checks when you enter your postcode.
For university collections, including student houses, campus accommodation and University of Warwick or Coventry University properties, we can work to any access or porter arrangements you give us at booking.
What we take in
We store upright pianos, baby grands, grands and concert grands. We also take digital pianos, stage pianos and keyboards, and we can hold associated items such as a stool, pedal board or cover in the same booking. If you have a question about a specific instrument or a large or unusual piece, call or email before booking and we will confirm.
Pricing for Coventry
Prices include collection, climate-controlled storage and full insurance. Stairs without a lift and off-day collections are priced transparently in the booking. Re-delivery is quoted when you are ready for the piano back.
