Collection days
Most of Hertfordshire collects on Wednesdays. That covers St Albans and the AL towns including Harpenden, London Colney and Radlett; the WD area from Watford, Bushey and Borehamwood out to Rickmansworth and Chorleywood; HP covering Hemel Hempstead, Kings Langley, Berkhamsted and Tring; and the EN postcodes along the southern county boundary including Waltham Cross and Cheshunt.
Stevenage, Hitchin, Letchworth Garden City, Baldock and the villages in the SG postcode area collect on Tuesdays instead. When you book online, the system shows your postcode's set day and offers the next available slot. If that day genuinely will not work, an off-day collection can be arranged for an added charge and booked in the same flow.
Why it matters
Hertfordshire has a mix of property types: Victorian and Edwardian terraces, 1930s semis, postwar estates and more recent executive houses. Most of them have central heating that runs hard in winter and stops in spring. Older properties especially experience real humidity swings. A piano in an unheated spare room or a cold loft will drift out of tune, develop slow cracks in the soundboard and eventually need specialist remedial work before it can be played reliably again.

What we store
Hertfordshire collections cover the full range. Most are family uprights heading into a renovation or a house move, but we regularly collect baby grands from the larger houses in Harpenden and Berkhamsted, and instruments belonging to schools and music studios in Stevenage, Watford and Welwyn Garden City.
We also store digital pianos, stage pianos, organs and other keyboard instruments, and we can take additional music equipment alongside a piano if your studio or school needs a temporary solution.
