Book storageCathedral city storage
Gloucester has deep musical roots. The Three Choirs Festival has rotated through the cathedral for three centuries, and the city's music scene, schools and church choirs have long put pianos in households across Kingsholm, the Spa and the wider city. When one of those instruments needs to go into store, whether a family is downsizing, a period house is being renovated, an estate is being settled or a musician is between homes, we collect it on Saturday and look after it properly.
Gloucester's housing stock runs from Victorian terraces in Tredworth and Barton to converted Docks apartments and newer estates in Abbeydale and Tuffley. Our specialist piano crews work across all of them. Where there are stairs or tight corridors, that access is priced clearly in the online booking before anything is confirmed.
Collection day
We collect in GL postcodes every Saturday. One set day keeps the route predictable and the cost fair. We confirm a three-hour target window the day before, and we cover the whole GL area, from the city centre out to Quedgeley, Barnwood, Longlevens and the villages beyond.
If a Saturday genuinely will not work, an off-day collection can be arranged for an added charge. Stairs and difficult access are priced openly in the online booking, so the figure is settled before the crew arrives.
Why specialist storage
Our Oxfordshire facility is 35 miles from Gloucester. Properties here, from Victorian terraces to the Docks conversions near the river, can be uncertain places to leave a piano. Heating that cycles on and off, damp that builds in older walls and humidity that rises near the water all work against a piano's timber, felt and tuning over time.
Our store holds a steady temperature and humidity through every season, with full insurance from collection to re-delivery and monitored security around the clock. Whether the piano is with us for a few weeks or several years, the conditions do not change.
Areas we cover
Within GL1, the city's central district, we collect from Linden, Wotton, Barton, Tredworth, St Paul's, Kingsholm and Pool Meadow. GL2, covering the western fringe, includes Longlevens, Elmbridge, Podsmead, Hempsted, High Orchard and Quedgeley. GL4 takes in Abbeydale, Lower Tuffley, Barnwood, Coney Hill, Tuffley and Matson. All sit on the same Saturday route.
If you are in a GL postcode not listed above, contact us: coverage across the GL area is broad and we collect from most villages and districts within the same window.
What we store
From a school upright to a concert grand, we store every type of piano, and the keyboards and other instruments that often travel with them.
Pricing for Gloucester
Prices include collection, climate-controlled storage and full insurance. Stairs without a lift and off-day collections are priced transparently in the booking. Re-delivery is quoted when you are ready for the piano back.
