Areas we cover
We collect pianos from Slough and the full SL postcode area every Wednesday, hold them in steady climate-controlled conditions at our Oxfordshire facility, and return them whenever you are ready.
Book storageWHERE WE COLLECT
Our specialist crew covers SL postcodes every Wednesday. The run starts with central Slough and SL1, covering the streets around Salt Hill and Chalvey, the newer developments in Baylis, and the villages of Cippenham, Burnham, Lent Rise, Rose Hill and Hitchambury. From there it extends south and west to Langley, Upton and Brands Hill (SL3), and across to Windsor, Eton and Dedworth (SL4), and to Maidenhead, Cox Green and Cookham Rise (SL6). Over the county boundary in Buckinghamshire we also collect from Britwell, Stoke Poges and Farnham Common (SL2), from Beaconsfield, Jordans, Seer Green and Knotty Green (HP9), and from Penn, Flackwell Heath, Wooburn Green and Loudwater (HP10).
Our climate-controlled facility is in Oxfordshire, 40 miles from the centre of Slough. That distance makes for a straightforward Wednesday run, and it puts the store in a stable rural setting well away from urban temperature swings and damp. We confirm a three-hour target window the day before your collection so you do not have to rearrange your whole morning.

WHY SLOUGH OWNERS STORE
Slough has one of the densest concentrations of corporate offices in the country, and that means a constant flow of people arriving for two or three years and then moving on. Short-term rentals in Langley or the town centre rarely have space for an upright, and leaving a good instrument in storage while you get settled is simply the sensible choice. We collect from flats, houses, offices and commercial premises alike.
The Slough Town Hall on the main road through town is a reference point most residents know, and the Victorian terraces and purpose-built blocks that spread out from Chalvey and Salt Hill to Cippenham make up a large part of the housing stock where we work week in, week out. Whether the reason is a house sale, a corporate relocation, a long renovation or a period working abroad, the instrument is better off in our care than left unattended in a spare room.
CLIMATE CONTROL
Slough's housing mix runs from Victorian terraces to modern flat conversions, with plenty of older commercial stock in between. Many of those buildings run warm and humid in summer and cold and dry in winter, and a piano left in those conditions will drift. Tuning pins lose their grip when the wood swells. Actions tighten. Soundboards can crack after a prolonged dry spell. The damage is cumulative and not always obvious until you come to play again.
Our Oxfordshire facility maintains consistent temperature and relative humidity throughout the year, with full insurance on every instrument from the moment our crew arrives at your door to the moment we re-deliver. There is no public access and the site is monitored continuously. If you are weighing the options, our guide to why specialist storage differs from a standard unit explains what the practical difference is. As part of the Pianospeed Group, piano collection, handling and storage are one operation, not three separate businesses.
WHAT WE TAKE IN
We store upright pianos, baby grands, grands and concert grands. We also take digital and stage pianos, keyboards, and associated items such as stools, pedal boards and covers. Larger or unusual instruments are not a problem; let us know the make, model and any access details when you book and we will tell you exactly what to expect.
Stairs and restricted access are common in Slough properties, particularly in older conversions and flats above retail premises. Stair access is priced clearly in the online booking before you confirm, so there are no surprises on the day. Our Reading area page and Oxford area page give a sense of what neighbouring collections look like if you are comparing options across the region.
Pricing for Slough
Prices include collection, climate-controlled storage and full insurance. Stairs without a lift and off-day collections are priced transparently in the booking. Re-delivery is quoted when you are ready for the piano back.
